We recognize there are times when it is necessary to find a new home for a Scottie and we are here to help. The Scottish Terrier is not a breed for everyone. A Scottie that doesn’t fit your family or life style might well be a perfect dog for another home. All Scotties relinquished to us are cared for in a loving and supportive foster home until their forever home is found.
Our mission is to find the best possible home for your Scottie. RMSR meticulously screens all adoption applicants to ensure they will provide a loving, caring, and safe environment where the Scottie can thrive. Our adoption application process includes an interview, reference checks, as well as a home visit.
Non-urgent questions (i.e. you are not looking to relinquish a Scottie at this time), please contact us.
Otherwise, complete the form below.
RMSR would request that you provide us with as much information about your Scottie’s temperament as possible. It is also very helpful if you can provide us with any health information and veterinary records. To make your dog’s transition as easy as possible, we ask for you to provide us with additional details such as:
- Where they sleep
- Where they stay during the day
- Favorite toys and activities
- Dislikes (such as the vacuum cleaner)
- Type and brand of food they have been eating
- How they behave with children, adults, other pets, other dogs, etc.
